BA online checkin:

BA online checkin for flight to Newark in the morning keeps gib=ving
the following response:

"Sorry, we cannot complete online check-in for your flight on this
occasion. Please proceed to the airport to check in and collect your
boarding pass."

Been trying on and off for the last 2 hours..

Never seen this before.
Anyone know what might be going on here?

When I phoned BA the guy said "There's a system problem - try again
in 2/3 hours."

Tried all day until bedtime, no change.

At the last minute this morning at 07.10 it worked normally, just in
time to yield a boarding pass before the airport taxi arrived!

Phew...

Now having same problem with BA flight to Johannesburg!

WTF's going on with BA's online checkin?

(Get into 'Manage my booking', which says "Online checkin is now
available", asks how many bags to check in, then gives the above
showstopper. Been trying since 6pm yesterday...))
